AI Features

PortfoliX includes a powerful AI Assistant to help you write content faster. It supports OpenAI (GPT-4), Anthropic (Claude 3.5), and Google Gemini.

Setup

Ensure you have added at least one API key in your .env file (see Configuration).

Where to use AI?

1. Bio Generator

In Settings > Profile, click the "✨ AI Write Bio" button.

  • Input: Enter a few keywords (e.g., "Full stack dev, loves React, based in NY").
  • Result: The AI will generate a professional 2-3 paragraph bio.

2. Project Descriptions

In the Project Editor:

  • Enter the Project Title and Tech Stack.
  • Click "✨ Generate Description".
  • The AI will write a compelling case study explaining the project's challenges and solutions.

3. Blog Post Ideas & Outlines

In the Blog Editor:

  • Click "✨ AI Assistant".
  • Ask it to "Give me 5 blog post ideas about React 19".
  • Or "Write an outline for an article about Web Accessibility".

Switching Providers

You can switch between AI providers (e.g., from OpenAI to Claude) in Settings > AI. This allows you to use the model that gives you the best results or is most cost-effective for you.
